Engr. Daniel Gambo Balarabe Mnse

Engr. Daniel Gambo Balarabe is an Electronics and Telecommunications Engineer, a Disaster Manager and an accredited Training Consultant with over 30 years of experience in all the fields. He holds Master Degrees in Telecommunications Engineering and Disaster Risk Management and Development Studies.

Engr. Gambo is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineers in Nigeria (COREN), as well as a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Administration of Nigeria.

He worked as a Broadcast Engineer at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in Kaduna; a Senior Lecturer of Telecommunications Engineering at the Kaduna Polytechnic; a staff of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) where he rose to the position of Director of Training before retiring.

He is a Disaster Management Practitioner with vast experience in Response Plan and Simulation Exercise Scenario development and direction; an expert in Counter- Terrorism, Disaster Risk & Strategic Communication; Incident Commander in Mass Casualty Events at various times; a Project Manager; and a Human Resource and Administrative Manager. Engr. Gambo authored Telecommunications Principles and System (note and model solutions to problems), and is currently the MD/CEO of Universal Disaster Management and Security Services Limited, an organisation he founded.

He has served in many United States Africa Command Disaster Preparedness Programmes as a facilitator, and at the West African Disaster Preparedness Initiative programme in Ghana as both a resource person and facilitator.

He was a one-time Shelter Consultant for the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) Nigeria, as well as Operations Coordinator for International Emergency Development Aid Initiatives (IEDA Relief). He is a detribalized and principled man with a passion for supporting Internally Displaced Communities and Refugees.
