Sir. Peter Idabor was Born in 1957 in Kaduna. He is a seasoned Civil Servant and Community Leader from Aniocha Local Government Area of Delta State, South-South Nigeria.
He was a lecturer of Environment Physiology Toxicology, Ecology, and Taxonomy for a period of ten years before being appointed Oil Pollution Controller with the Oil Mineral Producing Development Commission (OMPADEC).
He was later moved to the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) as Head of the Pollution Control Department/Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Laboratory where he left the service in March 2011.
Armed with a Masters Degree in Hydrobiology and Fisheries, he was appointed Director-General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) where he finally retired in 2019 after serving two terms.
Sir. Peter Idabor is a member of many professional bodies and a fellow of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES), Nigerian Conservation Foundation (NCF). He is also registered in the USA as an Environmental Specialist (RES) and a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM).
